Elliot has recently been appointed as a Lecture in Sustainable Manufacturing within the Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Loughborough University and is the Principle Investigator of the Eco-intelligent Factories Grand Challenge Project within the EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Industrial Sustainability. Elliot joined the Centre for Sustainable Manufacturing and Reuse/Recycling Technologies (SMART) at Loughborough in 2010, initially in a business strategy development role, but more recently has focussed his research efforts on energy efficient manufacturing, small scale energy harnessing and eco-intelligent production planning and control. He has industrial experience working for an international research and technology organisation and his educational background is in the field of Applied Physics.
