Renowned for his world-leading research in Precision subtractive and additive manufacturing, Saurav works on generating trustworthy digital representations of various manufacturing processes through multiscale simulations.
He holds the position of Associate Director of the EPSRC NetworkPlus in Digitalised Surface Manufacturing (EP/S036180/1) and the EPSRC CDT in Ultra-Precision (EP/L016567/1). His notable research endeavours can be seen from the EPSRC Exploratory Manufacturing (EP/T024607/1), TOF-PET imaging (EP/S013652/1). He has forged strong international links and partnerships between the UK and France, India and South Africa through the “Hubert Alliance International award” from the British Council and “Transforming the Partnership Programme” from the Royal Academy of Engineering. He has also been a recipient of the John Moyce Lessells award from the Royal Society of Edinburgh as well as the Newton Fellowship award from the Royal Society (NIF\R1\191571).
He has been supporting various industries through his Industrial short course which he delivers at Cranfield University and has been actively working with companies like Airbus through the EPSRC iCASE award. To date, he has published 100+ top tier Journal papers involving manufacturing modelling and experimentation.
Saurav is an Associate Editor of Q1 Journals “Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Systems” and “Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Systems”.
