We continue with a hybrid style meeting, with colleagues able to join in-person or online to accommodate hectic schedules and travel preferences. The scene for the physical meeting this time was Kings College London, with glorious views of the South Bank over the river Thames. However, a full packed schedule allowed little opportunity for distraction, with a session focused on Spinout and commercialisation.
We were lucky to welcome Professor Jason Hallett from Imperial College London, who gave a highly informative run through of his many experiences commercialising his academic research. The Tech Transfer team from Kings College also gave a tutorial on IP Protection and Commercialisation. There was also plenty of time to network with colleagues and find areas of common interest in Manufacturing for future collaboration. We also enjoyed a tour of the Biorenewable Manufacturing labs and some breath-taking views over London from the roof of Kings College. Many thanks Miao Guo and Matt Unthank for organising.
