On the 25th and 26th of February, the University of Bristol played host to the 23rd meeting of the ECF in Manufacturing. This meeting welcomed 11 new forum members from institutions across the UK, forming the 5th cohort to join the group, and was the final meeting for the outgoing 3rd cohort. The main theme of the meeting was how to be an effective PhD supervisor, with the forum hearing from two guest speakers, Prof Steve Eichhorn and Dr Ben Wood, about their experiences and advice as supervisors. Outgoing members also gave their top tips to the incoming (and continuing) forum members on making the most of their time on the forum.
